Leadership taught me in ordinary moments.
I’ve spent 26 years in Learning & Development and leadership—helping people learn, grow, solve problems, and step into work they weren’t always prepared for.
I’ve built training programs, developed leaders, coached managers, and helped teams navigate change. Again and again, I saw the same gap: a new title often arrives before the confidence, judgment, and language needed to lead well.
Most of what shaped me didn’t happen in formal training. It happened in conversations that went sideways, decisions I would handle differently, and ordinary Tuesdays that became lessons later.
That’s why I created The Promotion Gap and wrote It Was Just a Tuesday: to offer practical questions, honest stories, and useful tools for leaders who are learning while already doing the work.
